Family basketball

When we all get together, it never fails that we spend a day at the school playing basketball. The guys generally play for awhile trying to show off their skills and the rest of us hang out and chat and watch the smaller kids play. The quality of the pictures aren’t that great because the camera was on the wrong settings.

Back to Christmas

I just have to share a few more memories and photos from Christmas day and the rest of our time up at my parents. Christmas day was a lot of fun. We had my parents, all of my siblings and their kids and my Grandma Green who is in her 90’s, there. About 22 people in all were there. Very crowded, but lots of fun for everyone.

There were an obscene amount of presents there.

Skiing

We spent most of Monday up at Bogus Basin skiing. Well, the hubby and kids did, I spent the day working on stuff in the lodge and taking care of whoever was in there at the moment too tired or cold to be on the slopes. We got quite a few good pictures of the kids. We have an inversion here Boise right now. So, down here, you can't se the sun. And it's so cold. But, at about 5000 feet on the drive up you have blue sky and it's sooooo nice.

Don't they all look so excited to be leaving at 8 am on a day off from school.

And this was about as far ahead as we could see.

Last picture, I promise. On the way down, you can't see it very well, but where the horizon ends, down below is all white clouds again. Here's hoping we get a storm in the next few days so we can get rid of this dirty air.

More Christmas

We left for my parents on Christmas Eve. I was really excited to go to my parents for Christmas because all of my brothers and my sister and their families were going to be there. My dad's family always has a big Christmas Eve party with a great dinner, gift exchanges and the nativity being acted out. It was a full house.

Christmas pics

It's kind of late to be posting pictures from around Christmas time, but really, who cares. We took a lot and had a lot of fun through the holidays. Around the middle of December we always have a kid's Christmas party at Chris' office. It's pretty fun, Santa comes and gives everyone a present. There's usually food and a few games for the kids. It gives the spouses a bit of time to get to know each other and hang out for a bit.

IMG_9085

This is the first year that when we walked into the room and Carter saw the tree and the chair that Santa sits in that he didn't turn around and say, "OK, we can go home now."

Can't you tell how excited she was to be there.

Ryan spent most of the part calling the bingo numbers.

She wouldn't even acknowledge Santa was there, she was to busy messing with my phone.

Kennedy got a Twilight poster from Santa. Carter got a Webkinz (which I have no idea why he wanted it, he really hasn't touched it since), and Ryan got a new computer game called Bioshock.

IMG_9083

And yes, I know that there are no pictures of Chris. But, there is a reason. Once he gets the camera from me, he refuses to give it back. If you look back at his birthday post, you can see, that even when I get the camera from him, he won't let me take any decent pictures anyway.
